Beyond The Mic

A weekly sports show hosted by two guys who get paid to talk about sports. Carlos Zimmermann and John Clendenin are veteran play by play broadcasters from the great state of Texas who have experience calling various sports at the high school and college level. Join them each week Beyond the Mic, as they take you behind the scenes of their profession; giving their thoughts on the world of sports, talking with their friends in the industry and having an all around fun time doing it.

Justin Harcastle

Justin Hardcastle was born and raised in Wheeler Texas, he enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school and served for 4 years in the infantry with Second Battalion Fifth Marines. After being discharged Justin attended Sam Houston State University where he studied Mass Communications. He worked as an editor at the student newspaper "The Houstonian", being in charge of campus news, and the opinions section. After graduating college Justin worked as a news reporter at KTRE in Lufkin Texas before coming to KSAM. He is on the evening show from 7 to midnight and also runs the KSAM website and serves as the executive producer for KSAM sports broadcasts and the "Behind the Mic" podcasts.
